We bring you a very easy and healthy recipe, a fruit bowl that you can have for breakfast, snack or a light dinner. The first time we ate it was in Bali at a beach bar located on a lost beach near Padang Padang. The other times we ate it has been in our vacations in the Landes, where we took it for breakfast in a beach bar in the lake of Hossegor called Mago Tree. Doing it at home is very easy, and you can use frozen fruit that can buy at the supermarket, or natural fruit. I don’t like the frozen fruit for breakfast, however if I take it as a snack I don’t mind, so it depends on when I am going to use it I do it one way or another. You can make all the variations you want with the fruits, we have chosen these because we love the acidic mixture of the red fruits with the banana on top, but everyone can adapt it to their own taste.
I post here some choices of good fruit combinations:
- Apple, grape, spinach, orange juice and matcha tea
- Mango, cúrcuma en raíz, zanahoria, papaya y zumo de naranja.
- Watermelon, strawberries, orange juice. Banana, vegetable milk and cocoa.
Bowl ingredients:
- A bag of frozen red fruits, or some raspberries or a handful of strawberries.
- the same quantity of blackberries.
- an orange juice glass.
- one banana.
- coconut flakes.
- a handful of dried fruits.
- a teaspoon of different seeds: Chia, flax, sesame… choose what you prefer.
Procedure:l
Load the blender with the red fruits, orange juice and the seeds and mix it till it’s like a puree. Put it all into a bowl. We slice the banana and put it over the puree into the bowl. Do the same with the coconut, diced dark chocolate, and homemade granola (recipe here). I also love to put over the fruit a homemade peanut cream (recipe here) spoon. You can write us your doubts, or comments.
